DIVEST is an international publication where design, environment and wellbeing meet.
As the name suggests DIVEST (= to get rid of something) we explore living with less.
LESS WORRIES, LESS OBJECTS, LESS WASTE, LESS NEGATIVITY …
We will cover subjects from art and fashion to unusual lifestyles to environment matters. DIVEST follows the principles of minimalism and sustainability, going beyond a tidy closet and a ‘recyclable’ label.
Donald Judd, an American artist, considered the pioneer of minimalism, explained this concept as: the simple expression of complex thought. As you might have noticed this is our motto. The purpose of DIVEST MAGAZINE is to inform and raise awareness on pressing issues such as the climate crisis, in a simple and beautiful format, but at the same time to inspire our readers to be mindful and to consume less.
Our pilot issue, which explores solitude, circular fashion and self-reflection is available for free here:
The pilot issue of DIVEST MAGAZINE was chosen to be part of the People and Planet Collection during the University of the Arts London Graduate Showcase, check it out here: https://graduateshowcase.arts.ac.uk/collection/9
